It involves variety of procedures including endodontic therapy (commonly known as “root canal therapy”), endodontic retreatment, periapical surgery, treating cracked teeth, and treating dental trauma. Root canal therapy is one of the most common procedures.

Endodontics is recognized as a specialty by many national dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Treatments

Root Canal Treatment

Endodontic therapy or root canal therapy, colloquially root canal, is a sequence of treatment for the pulp of a tooth which results in the elimination of infection and protection of the decontaminated tooth from future microbial invasion. This set of procedures is commonly referred to as a “root canal”

Re- Root Canal Treatment

With proper care, even teeth that have had root canal treatment can last a lifetime. But sometimes, a tooth that has been treated doesn't heal properly and can become painful or diseased months or even years after treatment. If your tooth failed to heal or develops new problems, you have a second chance. An additional procedure may be able to support healing and save your tooth.
